You've often heard about the Sezane brand and now you want to place your first order but don't know how to size Sezane? I've been a Sezane customer for a long time and I've ordered a lot of pieces, making quite a few sizing mistakes in the process. Understanding the Sezane size guide
Sezane offers sizes from 32 to 48 (French sizes). The best thing to do if you're not sure of your French size (it's the equivalent of Belgian sizes if you're ever in doubt) is to take your own measurements. That way you'll be sure not to get the wrong size when you order. If you hesitate between two sizes after taking your measurements, the ideal is to choose the size above.
In addition to the size chart, Sezane indicates for each item whether it's better to take a size up or down or your usual size. This is indicated on the right-hand side of the garment under the size choice heading "size advice - size guide". As you can see on this page for the Matheo Sezane trousers, above the "Add to Basket" button is the information that you should size up. I always follow this little piece of advice because it's really correct!
One time I forgot to read it and ended up with a pair of trousers that were too big. So you can really rely on the Sezane size guide.
Take your personal preferences into account
Of course, depending on your personal style, you may prefer to wear your Sezane pieces in a more oversized or slimmer style. So as well as knowing how to size Sezane, you also need to ask yourself what cut you like!
So, if you prefer a fitted look that highlights your feminine curves, follow the size guide to the letter to find the perfect size for you. Choose slim-fitting dresses, slim-fitting trousers and fitted blouses to show off your figure with elegance! This is indicated in the product description, as in the case of the TomBoy shirt, which states that it's a straight cut!
On the other hand, if you prefer relaxed, comfortable looks, either 'oversized' or 'loose', the brand also offers loose-fitting cuts to help you feel comfortable while staying on trend. So you can opt for flowing dresses, oversized shirts and baggy trousers for a relaxed, on-trend look! This is always clearly indicated in the product description. Like the Will jacket, for example, which states that it is oversized.
Sezane size guide: What is the cut of Sezane tops (shirts, tops, blouses, etc.)?
Naturally, the cut varies from one model to another. So check the description of the product in question to see what cut it is. Sezane indicates in detail whether the cut is oversize or not.
- For example, Sezane's Max shirt is an oversize shirt, so if you wear your usual size, you'll still get the oversize look. On the other hand, if you're between an M and an L, take the L to guarantee the oversized effect.
- The Tomboy shirt, on the other hand, will have a more slim-fit look (it's marked as a straight fit, and there's no mention of oversize), so if you want it to be slim-fit, take your usual size, but if you prefer to be a little more comfortable with a more oversized look, take a size up.

Sezane size guide: What is the cut of Sezane bottoms (trousers, skirts, shorts, etc.)?
Of course, the cuts vary from one model to another. So be sure to check the product description to see what cut it is. Sezane gives a detailed indication of whether the cut is oversized or not.
Before choosing a model, start by taking your body shape into account. Every pair of trousers has a specific cut that may be more suited to certain body shapes. If you have wider hips, opt for flared or straight-cut trousers for a flattering fit. If you have a slimmer figure, tailored trousers can enhance your curves.

Leg length can vary between trouser models, so be sure to check the information in the product description. Sezane indicates the inside leg length (unfortunately only for the size worn by the model). This gives you an idea of the length of the trousers!
To take my example, I have very long legs for my height, a bit of hip but slim legs. So I'm a size 36 at the top and a 34 at the leg length. So I'm going to avoid skinnies and 7/8ths. I'm going to favour wide-leg (a matter of taste) and high-waisted styles.

What happens if I order the wrong size from Sezane?
Don't worry, Sezane has a great returns policy! Please note, however, that you only have 15 days from receipt of the parcel to return it. No matter what country you're in, in order to make a return to Sezane, you first need to make a returns request on the Sezane website in the "make a returns request" tab.
- If you are in France, you can drop the parcel off at one of their concierge centres or at a post office by downloading the return form.
- If you are in Belgium, you can return the parcel to one of the post offices listed here.
For other countries, please consult their website for delivery procedures.
Please note that if you are returning from a country other than the one in which you ordered, the return label will not be usable and you will have to pay for the return.
You will then be refunded within 4 to 10 working days (in other words, the 4 to 10 days during which the company is actually in business, usually Monday to Friday). Please note that if the purchase was made with a gift card, you will receive a credit note and not a refund.
