hi
hi
I am back today for an article that will please to instagramers’s addicts. A lot of people asked me which filters bloggers use for they instagram gallery, and I thought that a blogpost with some filters ideas to use for your instagram photos would be a great idea. Obviously, it’s not only preset filters, but a series of settings that allow to achieve various and quite nice results.
As you know, if you want your instagram account to become more popular and to see the amount of followers growing, it’s essential to maintain consistency in your publications. As I told you in my last blogpost about it (here, but there isn’t any english translation yet, sorry …), this is really important to begin to climb the slope of the celebrity on this network. And one way to have a coherent account is, of course, to always use the same filter when you publish a photo!
All these settings are made and used with basic filters from VSCOCAM (app to be downloaded in the Apple store). At first sight, this app scared me a little bit because of all the settings you can do, but in reality it offers a bunch of really nice filter already preset (some are free and some doesn’t). I have learned to tame it to make full strength tests and in the end I was able to find the style of photos that I liked and was looking for a while.
Stop talking, here it is !
Here is the filter I use everyday. This filter is really nice for pictures with a predominance of white and with a touch of darker pieces. Obviously, it always depend on the picture. Sometimes I add more exposure or contrast, depending on the atmosphere.
Here is the account of Barbara, a pretty belgian girl that I really appreciate. She has her own style as you can see in the pictures of her instagram’s account. She also have an incredible sense of “always taking the best picture in each circumstance”. A nice account that you must follow.
Here is the account of the sweet Julie, from the blog julinfinity. I really appreciate the atmosphere of her account (she is wonderful, has the hand of her heart, and a communicative joy) that is more “cosy”, girly than mine. She brings warms my heart !
The beautiful Emmanuelle, from belgium again, also has a wonderful universe. As Julie’s account, she add a little bit of sweetness to my feed and her pictures always light up my day (I may exaggerate a little bit but she is so nice and sweet that just the fact of seing her name make me smile).
Chloé is one of my favorite french blogger. I love to read her blog and her daily instagram photos are amazing. She has a lot of energy to share with others and you can feel it in her pictures. A wonderful women that you must follow too !
Paulien is my favorite belgian blogger. Her blog is absolutely amazing, with crazy pictures all the time. Paulien is definitely an artist with an innate gift for fashion. If you’re looking for inspiring blogger to follow, she is the one !
Then, I also found this instagram account (@tropical.filters), that gives you a lot of great filters ideas.
Obviously, these alterations ideas are basis and each picture is always edited slightly differently depending on the brightness or predominant color. Please do not “copy” these ideas directly, find your style, harmony gallery that suits you best, in warmer tones or colder ones, more pink or bluer. And above all … have fun, avoid getting worked up !

Hi!
This post has been so useful. Thank you for this 🙂
Which camera do you use to take your pictures with ?
Your phone camera or an actual camera ?
Sometimes with my phone but more often with my CANON EOS 80D 🙂
This was so helpful. I have been struggling with finding the best filters or editing tips to create a great colour scheme for my Instagram and blog.
