Wondering what activities to do in Brussels when it rains ? In this article I've put together some ideas for activities that will make you wish it was raining more often in Belgium! Discover the best things to do in the Belgian capital during rainy weather. And yes, we are used to it, we are prepared!
If you don't know where to eat when it's pouring rain... Go to the Gare Maritime, a food corner that brings together the grail of Brussels' restaurants in one place. Built around different restaurant stands, often Brussels well-known establishments, the space is friendly and in the spirit of food sharing: you order in the chosen restaurant via an application and you get your dish once you receive a notification that it is ready. Perfect with a group of friends who can never agree on what to eat! Everyone is satisfied. We highly recommend Chef Giovanni Bruno's pasta, Mallory's croquettes, and two-starred chef San's bowls!
You can also spend some time at Tour et Taxis as the complex offers various unusual activities and temporary exhibitions! You can see the current activities on the Tour et Taxis website.

When not knowing what to do in Brussels because of the weather: let's hit the cinema! Based on Delia Owens' bestseller, "Where the Crawdads sang", this cinematic masterpiece will be released in Belgium on August 17, 2022. The book from which the film takes its story is to be added to your list of must-reads if you haven't already done so (you still have some time to read it before the release of the film and if you are lucky enough to still be on holiday, we'll slip it into your suitcase without fail! ). It is through an encounter that the life of Kya, an isolated child abandoned by life, will change ... Between poetry, revolt, wonder, hymn to nature, the Marsh Girl, played by Daisy Edgar-Jones, Hollywood star in the making, will not leave you indifferent!
Are you looking for something out of the ordinary? I suggest you join one of Gaelle's workshops to make your own bag! During this afternoon, you will learn more about leather goods before getting down to the practical side. Choosing the leather, cutting it according to the patterns, making it, you will follow all the steps in order to make your own personalised bag that you will take back home. Don't hesitate to look at the different workshops offered to find the model that suits you.
Take the excuseof the rain to take some time for yourself. The place is only 30 minutes from Brussels & you can spend an exceptional afternoon at the Waer Waters wellness centre. This (small) piece of Zen paradise offers 12,000 m2 of watery pleasures accompanied by experiences: treatments, scrubs, meditation in the thermal baths, there's something for everyone, and all for less than €50 per person! You can complete your relaxation experience with massages, facials, manicures ... take care of yourself!

Another thing to do in Brussels when it rains is to go to La Luck! La luck is a hybrid restaurant concept in the heart of the Chatelain, offering a games room, brunches, a restaurant... The games are served like a meal, à la carte, advised by game sommeliers who are able to identify your desires, and at your disposal to help you discover new games and explain the rules. Games of reflex, dexterity, balance, bluff, strategy, improvisation... The list of games on offer is long and mouth-watering! In addition, you can taste dishes made of local products. Of course, as Belgium is obliged to do, we kind of enjoy to drink (woops). Note that if it rains on a Saturday evening and you want to go to La Luck, you will have to rush through the rain: reservations are not possible on that day, first come, first served!
