The best places to escape on a romantic trip in Belgium

Belgium is filled with romantic places to escape a few days with your loved one. Whether it is in the heart of the Ardennes, by the water or even in Brussels, there is a place out there that will fill your hearts and charm your loved one! With Valentine’s Day coming up, I felt it was the perfect occasion to tell you about my favorite places that are just little gems of cosy-ness and romance. You’ll read about some places I went to and some I dream about!

Les Cabanes de Rensiwez, cabins in the Ardennes

Located in the province of Luxembourg, in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes, “Les cabanes de Rensiwez” (literally, the cabins of Rensiwez) is the ideal place for a romantic getaway in our beautiful Belgian countryside. You’ll experience a complete change of scenery in these perched huts, and enjoy ecologically designed architecture built in communion with the surrounding nature, each with their different style! For example, you can sleep under a panoramic roof open on the starry night, in a bird’s nest in the middle of a sumptuous wooden cabin or take a bath in a beautiful stone basin, cradled by the firelight with views of the countryside … Cocooning and romance guaranteed! They have a dozen suites and cabins with prices ranging from 100€ to 500€ per night depending on the season and the days of the week.

Only 20 minutes away from Brussels, this place is the ideal escape for history lovers and quirky, unusual surroundings. The Martin’s Patershof is the ideal place to head to if you’re looking for a romantic escape in Belgium! This 4-star hotel has taken its roots…in a church in the middle of Malines! You’ll notice arched vaults, stone columns, stained glass, and other tributes to the sacred aspect of the building, for a more than romantic night in a luxurious setting. Last exquisite detail: the bedding is furnished by Salus, the official supplier of the Belgian Court!

Located at the summit of Namur’s citadel, this resort and spa has several suites and apartments, decorated with a lot of style, ranging from super modern to very rustic. Its localisation is perfect to discover the citadel on the banks of the Meuse river and the lovely city that is Namur! The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant, but proposes an in-suite dining service for a perfect intimate romantic night! During Summertime, you can have a gastronomic breakfast by the pool and even have a dive if the weather allows it. The Forest, a tiny house with a view

For nature lovers that are looking for a place to relax and unwind, this tiny house built on the edge of a pond in the middle of the forest will fulfill your heart’s desire.
