Our living room has undergone a big transformation with a change of paint: we went green! I\\’m taking this opportunity to give you a detailed description of this room, which I\\’ve never described in detail before. Green paint for the living room!<\/h2>
When we moved into the flat, the living room was painted a bright blue. I have to tell you, it wasn\\’t that great! From the start, we wanted to change this colour for a shade that suited us better and above all that had a matt finish! So we went for the magnificent shade \\”Vert de gris\\” from Flamant<\/a>. Its matt finish immediately brings a touch of elegance to the room while making it warmer. In addition, the green colour blends perfectly with the view of the garden, to the point that it gives the impression of a continuity of the latter. The living room also looks much brighter with this lighter shade!


Flamant paints are very high quality: two coats are more than enough to cover a wall! Personally, we applied a white base coat to cover the blue and avoid wasting Flamant paint, which, let\\’s face it, is not cheap.

The decorative elements of our living room<\/h2>
From the sofa bed to the books and the coffee table, find all the pieces that make up my living room.
The sofa is the GR\u00d6NLID model from Ikea<\/a>. We thought this room could be transformed into a guest room and therefore opted for a large convertible sofa to accommodate our friends and family! The feedback has been very positive: it is very comfortable and has been approved by all our friends!
The cushion covers are all from H&M Home. Texture of the white cushions<\/a> gives the room an even warmer feel and the colour of the red cushions<\/a> goes perfectly with the green paint on the wall. It was also a way of reminding us of the colour, which can be found in every room in the flat.

Needless to say, we are fans of the green paint on the living room walls! And I think the Sofia armchair from Westwing<\/a> goes very well with it! This colour is no longer available but you can find plenty of them on the Westwing website<\/a>.

The glass coffee table was made by a friend with blue stones from my childhood region. And the cowhide rug is from Spotted Collections<\/a>, a Belgian brand! It creates a perfect contrast with the table and adds warmth to the room.


The perfect wooden shelf!<\/h3>
One of the walls of the living room is covered with a series of wooden shelves. This system is very practical and allows you to place different elements to complete the decoration of the living room. Plus, this light wood colour goes great with the green paint on the wall! We placed some Lego cars, green plants, decorative pieces and books on the shelves.

And as usual, all the decorative books in my living room are from Taschen<\/a>. They have a shop in the Sablon in Brussels with a very large assortment of books of all kinds. Feel free to go there and have a look! And if you don\\’t know how to get to the shop, go to their website<\/a>!


In a word, we love our living room with this green colour! Not only does it brighten up the room, but it also makes it warm, while remaining elegant.
